Default Buying Brembo from Mobis Hyundai?

As you all know new BK is equip with Brembo 4pot all around as option in Korea.

I just can't imagine buying Brembo calipers from Mobis dealer in Korea and really wonder how much will it cost?

I see an opportunity to import to USA and make combination GT kit instead of buying complete Brembo GT with no other choice for rotors, brake lines that are much cheaper than Brembo.

Of course, Brembo is top notch brand and performance, but there should be alternative for other cars to use other rotors, brake lines, brake pads etc.

I was looking to buy Porsche Carrera GT stock wheels today for my customer and found they cost almost my used Porsche Cayenne Turbo I bought. $30,000.

Buying two sets of 4pot Brembo GT kit should be equivalent to used GK now in USA.

Sorry for munbo jumbo, but I am just too excite to hear things for new BK.

hey man, yeah i thought about this. i was thinking of developing brakes for the car...but then i realized that those who actually want performance would've have bought the brembo option. those who upgrade to BBK are few and far between. hard to find people who are interested in actually stopping. very few people understand the dynamics of racing.

to me the only plus to factory brembo are the rear since most aftermarket bbks don't exist for rear and if they do they usually disconnect the e brake.

I'm planning on getting base model w/o brembos and just upgrade later

Here are my options:
the cheap/base model 4cyl to save money and have more cash to spend on building the engine

or
buy the SE or track edition, so I have a warranty on the extra items and good brakes, suspension, and LSD installed.

If I got the cheap version, base model with no options, the LSD, brakes, and suspension would be the last thing I upgraded.

The warranty is important to me so I want the V6. Are there any performance options that would let the warranty still be in effect ? Would a chip cancel the warranty ?

Warranties usually depend on which dealership you go to. Some would try to void the warranty on your transmission for installing HIDs... or your suspension for a CAI. One dealership tried to tell me my body kit caused my transmission to blow up, because "bottoming out could cause harm to the gears" ... I told them they were full of BS and I took it to another dealership with no problem.

Tune at your own risk, but if you don't like what one dealership tells you, go to the next one.

In the past, I would bypass two local dealerships and tow my car 45 miles to a dealership that I approved of. Find a good dealership with a good service manager and become loyal

The truth is a dealership has to prove that your modification caused whatever the issue is to deny your warranty claim. Even if you have a CAI for instance, and lets say the oil pump dies out early, just becuase you have an engine mode they need to prove that your CAI caused the oil pump to fail. Its called the magnusson warranty act, if you have probelm with a dealership where they are unjustified in servicing your warranty claims contact the BBB (better buisness Buero) and file a complaint against them.

The dealership mentioned in my post above was 'taken away' from management.. it used to be a Chrysler Jeep Eagle Hyundai dealership, now it's just Chrysler and it's under new management. Shady business from what I've heard from several sources.

Good info on Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. I wasn't aware of that.

I actually printed the Magnusson-Moss act when my clutch in the tib went out after 3000mi. I had headers installed and I just knew the dealership would try this crap. Alas, it was a good dealership and they replaced it without question. I never got to pull out the act and say "Prove it or fix it".
