| No Premium for US? According to this autoblog story, We here in the states are not getting the 2.)l turbo with its two fuel maps, we are only getting the tune for regular fuel that makes 210hp, not the premium which gets you 223hp. Hyundai releases Genesis Coupe performance numbers - Autoblog |

| That's not how I read it but, if you are right, that seems just plain stupid. |

| I hope it will run more efficiently on 93 octane, because I had planned to run the higer fuel for better performance, I will be disappointed. |

| "U.S. customers will reportedly only receive the 210-hp version, and you'll hit that magic number at 6,000 RPM while the turbocharged nature of the 2.0L helps you hit peak torque at a low 2,000 RPM."
I am not sure whats not clear about that. Thats copy and pasted from the autoblog article.
There was an update to the story that the US version is still months away from final tune, and that the 0-60 should be closer to 7.5 when it arrives |

| I think that they are clueless... Why on earth would they not include the fuel map? That makes no sense from a business standpoint, why put the money into R&D and then not implement it for what will most likely be their largest market. Especially since we Americans use a majority of the fuel on the planet...
I shall wait and see for something real from Hyundai

| Becuase Fuel was $4 a gal for regular and nearly 4.50 for premium around here. It has come down to 3.50 for regular but premium is still nearly $4. That would not stop me from using the premium, but I am sure it has stopped most of america. most cars I see filling up, even ones that are supposed to be filled with premium I have noticed people only putting in the cheapest stuff they can. |

| Premium is down to 3.69 last night. Either way though, it makes no sense to not put it in there after they have already spent like 99% of the cost on including it.
In fact, I would imagine that removing it from the firmware probably costs more than removing it. It seems asinine that they would do that, so I figure that these guys are either speculating or heard wrong.

| Well I doubt they will not include both maps, yet considering most people are going to be doing some work to there cars either way new maps are going to be needed no matter what. I also love where I live gas prices are cheap here, regular $2.95 Premium $3.17 |

| I don't think gas price is an issue, since Korean gas still cost double compare to USA.
More or less, dual cat or prank joke. Genesis sedan shows different hp base on regular or premium gas, so it should be same for Coupe. |
