Yeah..... I love GK's but RWD sounds so nice finally. I won't buy this car first year out. I'll wait until they work any bugs out and then I might jump on a slightly used one in a few years. Who knows though.

Default Re: Pricing?

now what would the SE have extra with it. the GT i'm guessing is the V6 and the GS is the 2.0 turbo, but would the SE just be the V6 with cosmetic extras (different body, wheel size, interior change)?

I updated my post with pricing for each model of the SE (The 4 Cylinder and the 6 Cylinder).

The different between say the GS I4 and the SE I4 would be Track Tuned Suspension, Brembo Breaks, Interior Trim...etc

Same goes for the different of the GT V6 and the SE V6

actually both engines are designed for premium, but will run fine on regular. They even said 306hp on 87 and 310 on 91 for V6, and 223 for I4 91 and 217 on 87.

If you do not understand octane ratings, the octane is the fuels ability to avoid pre-ignition, or knock. This means a slighly higher compression ratio can be used as well as more timing put into the car. This can add a few HP. If you run regular fuel, the engines knock sensor will notice tiny pings and retard the timing so the fuel will stop knocking. You will expeiriance slightly less MPG but its so little you probably won't really notice it much.

As for brembo's they said standard on SE (v6), hopefully it will also be an option on the I4 version as well!

Yeah...I didn't know about the flexability of the engines on fuel until I saw the latest videos...that is a huge selling point...I will have me one no matter what,

Well, considering the larger difference between the power gains when moving from regular to premium on the 2.0t compared to the 3.8; i wouldnt be suprised if, in addition to some more aggressive advanced timing, the ecu has a higher boost level for the I4 depending on the fuel.

Which is great news, as it would show flexibility in the ECU to accept more boost/power fuel demands, which hasnt been the cornerstone of RD series ECU and to a lesser extent the seimens in the GK; which would make piggyback a more viable and thoroughly effective option for us bastards who cant keep a car stock no matter the power level, depending on the cooperation level of the ECU we may not need more than just MBC for a sizeable power gain safely and reliably without CEL's.
